"Natural referencing"
The referencing of an internet site should be addressed upfront the project. Search engines set in motion scores of criteria for the classification of results in order of relevance. Moreover, these criteria are in constant evolution (url, pagerank, links, tags, site content, etc…) and vary from one engine to another(Google, Yahoo!, Livesearch, Exalead, etc.).
The foundations of good referencing are laid as from the beginning of the project and, as a matter of priority, involve a proper coding of your internet site
Indeed, a site that is properly coded and semantically structured will enable a better indexing of search engines. The code will enable an appropriate hierarchization of the textual content, thus enabling good referencing.
In addition the lightening of the optimized code will make it easy to read, thereby making it more flexible and evolutive. This naturally reduces the costs of future development.
The "manual referencing"
Your site has been designed in an optimized manner for referencing. Its search engine now has to be known! There are two methods: manual referencing which consists in listing the site in any engine or directory, one after the other, or aromatic referencing, which consists in using a programme built for that purpose.
It should be noted that each directory and engine has its own registration forms, categories, etc..
Meanwhile, automatic referencing does not take these criteria into account and may not yield satisfactory results. They may even sometimes have disastrous consequences. Today, most administrators of search engines or directories no longer accept autoSubmits.
Manual referencing is therefore undeniably the most efficient solution,, though it require more time. For an internet site to be visible with good referencing, this step is indispensable and must be meticulous.
